Front end advancements
The front end is the primary interface through which users interact with the program, including data entry and other communication. To ensure maximum accessibility, the front end is currently being developed as a web application, allowing it to be run in any modern browser on a wide range of operating systems.
One significant change in the updated version of ArboDat+ is the storage of specific lists at a central place (server), ensuring uniformity in terms of plant taxonomy, method names, coordinate reference system names, site-type designations and others. However, it is important to note that in many instances, users will retain the flexibility to add individual items, too.
